The Royal Wedding: The Industry’s Take

It has been fun to hear what our industry friends have to say about the royal wedding. We reached out to a few bridal designers and style experts to find out what they thought about the Middleton girls.
On Kate:
“Kate was perfect! Her dress was such a great mix of modern classic and history. The lace reminded me of Princess Grace of Monaco. I don’t think any other designer could have been better than Sarah Burton.” –Suzy Menkes, fashion reporter/style expert
“There was nothing to not like about Kate’s dress, but as a designer, I was a little disappointed not to see something that pushed the fashion envelope further. I found the choice of materials and shape to be very traditional and not what I was expecting from such a modern bride and a very modern designer as Sarah Burton is. None the less, Kate looked beautiful and the fit of the dress was impeccable.” –Lela Rose
